And sometimes you just find out that it doesn't change a thing. To get to a new set makes you go over and over and over again through parts you already know. But there is always the problem that the theoretical possible combinations add up to sheer infinit numbers. Or just having the nagging feeling you missed large parts. While story driven games have often the one outcome out of a dialog or other choice you haven't seen (espcially if some options sum up), yet. Well, I for myself also think that open world games have a different kind of "replay value". like Extra Credit (and others, too) tell what "replay value" is. if you care to see them, that is.Īt least that is what ppl. Not able to see things in one go and to have seen it all you have to play it several times. I though that is what "replay value" is all about. and report wild fires and direct the fire fighters to them befor the get too out of hand. one in which you have to put out camp fires (before they become wild fires) from wild campers and tell them off. Sidenote: Game setup would also make a good open world one. (Have the feeling I have trouble to comunicate what I mean) or alike) and the outcome (both on same screen / split of the screen) one after another with almost none incteraction at all (well, the I have seen it go on button and nothing else) like a slide show. So just the dialog choiceses (as subtitles / headlines. Or just playing down the different paths with what you should have choosen to get there, maybe even in a split screen (several splits if everal outcomes), without any interaction. that you could either replay the game and see at each option if it will lead to a new part (like: red = no new content ahead (you either have chosen it before or the choise was fake) yellow = last time you have choosen this, but this options also will lead to outcomes you havent seen, yet green= never choosen this branch) I wish this kind of games (the storry telling kind with different chioces / pathes) would have also the option (once you you complete the game once) instead of having to replay the game from scratch with no clues what so ever. but I actually can't get myself actually replay them. and I even have a special category in steam to do so (and don't even uninstall them). I always plan to replay those kind games to have a peek at said missed content. and taking different chioces doesn't even mean getting different results at the end) and I am so bored that I properbly will miss the choices I have to take to get to the "new" content. (and this isn't a problem of this game but in general) I am bored except of the new parts. but it has lot of so called "replay value" since you can't hear and see every diolog choice in one go.īut. well, you either love it or hate it.Īnyway I spent 7 hours playing it.
